They started to build the Bridge Inn in 1900 and completed it in 1906 in the style of an Old English Coaching Inn.The Bridge Inn is situated in the centre of picturesque Port Sunlight and is one of the 900 grade 11 listed buildings contained with in this unique village.

The building was built by William Hesketh Lever for his soap factory workers and named after his famous Sunlight Soap.

It was a temperance Hotel until 1903 when the vote was cast and the sale of alcohol was allowed.
