The hotel has its origins in a 16th century farmhouse and an inn has reputedly stood on the site from earliest times.The Suffolk pink ivy-covered building is a welcoming beacon attracting an eclectic mix of local residents passing travellers and people working at nearby business parks.

The internal decor of the hotel is a blend of the old and the new with brass spotlights and chalkboards complementing the warmth and character of original brickwork solid oak beams and large fireplaces.
