The Wellington is an imposing granite building that was built before the battle of Waterloo.

It was converted to a hotel in1813 and named after the Iron Duke (Arthur Wellesley 1769 - 1852) after he allegedley stayed here.

It has been extensively modernised in recent years.Parking is available in front of the Hotel (daytime restrictions) or in the large free car park within easy walking distance.Bus services which link with all the Cornish tourist centres operate from close to the hotel and it is perfectly possible to enjoy a stay in St just without a car.

The local beauty spots of Cape Cornwall Cot Valley and Carn Bosavern are within easy walking distance.

An ideal centre for touring the Lizard Peninsula St Ives Newlyn Mousehole or the finest cliffs and beaches in Cornwall.
