The Commodore Hotel is ideally situated on the cliff tops at Southbourne adjacent to the cliff lifts and Fishermans Walk.

The spectacular views across Poole bay take in Swanage to the West and Hengistbury Head and the Isle of Wight to the East.

Its location close to the New Forest and Bournemouth town centre makes it an ideal base from which to explore Hampshire and Dorset.The Commodore was built in 1928 and was originally called Crawfords Tea Rooms.

In the war it was used to house serving American airmen.

In the early 50s an extension was added and it became Crawfords Bar and Hotel.

Not long after that it became The Commodore Hotel.Dine in our attractive Lounge Bar with panoramic sea views where great value food is available daily or simply relax and have a drink from our superb range of real ales wines and spirits.

Each of our 12 en-suite bedrooms are all non-smoking and have been fully refurbished in Spring 2008 and are now equipped with brand-new deep pocket sprung divan
