Elterwater - the most glorious of Lakeland Villages with its own Lake.

The Eltermere was built in 1756 and overlooks Elterwater - an area of fantastic natural beauty at the foot of the Langdale Valley.

Some of the very best walking is from our very doorstep gentle or challenging including the Langdale Pikes take your pick! Within a few minutes walk is the Langdale Country Leisure Club with Swimming Pool Gym Squash and Beauty Salon.

Upon request you can obtain a Free Leisure Pass so please bring your own towels.

Please note there is a 2 night minimum stay at the weekend but you can usually stay for just 1 night during the week.

The hotel has its own Restaurant serving an a la carte between 6.00pm and 9.00pm.

We also have a fantastic Bar open for all beers and wines morning coffee afternoon tea and exciting bar meals (food served until 9.30pm).

With a menu which changes daily we use only the finest of fresh ingredients and a very interesting selection of wines.
